While there is a lot of change this month, this is just a small taste of the major changes that 2025 already has a reputation for. For now, the majority of the change this month will impact the dynamics of the early months of 2025, as opposed to the changes ahead that will impact the coming years. This is a chance to ease into this extraordinary year. For the first 72 hours, it will be business as usual, with the landscape the same as it was last month. Even the last New Moon of 2024, which fell in your home and family sector on New Year's Eve is still running its course on New Year's Day. Because the Sun will always spend the last 10 days and the first three weeks of each year here, the solar spotlight will remain on things close to home until he leaves on 20th January, with Mercury here from 8th January to 28th January. It is after this that you will notice the change, for with Pluto having ended his 16 year visit in November, this will leave your home and family sector empty until later in the year. Instead, Pluto is settling into his early months in a playful and creative part of your chart, where he will stay until 2044 and where there will be growing support throughout the month. Apart from that, two of the more significant shifts involve Venus, Mars and Mercury in the early part of the month. Mercury and Mars are part of a partnership that is going to get the month off to a powerful start on the communication, social and relationship fronts. This will start to disband when Mars leaves your friendship sector on 6th January, Mercury your communication sector on 8th January and the North Node your relationship sector on 12th January. At the same time, a new partnership will form across the income, work and career fronts, spearheaded by Venus' return to your work sector on 3rd January and Mars' to your career sector on 6th January. Meanwhile, it is on 12th January that the lunar nodes will stop policing a balance between your own and your relationship needs and start policing how well you know when to keep your work hat on and when to take it off.

While January will be an important month on the romantic and relationship fronts, for different reasons. On the relationship front because there is change underway and on the romantic because you are at the dawn of a whole new era. While you began the year with Venus, the planet of love in your romantic sector and while she will leave on 3rd January, not to return again until early 2026, she is setting the scene for the coming year. When Venus returned in December it wasn't just on the same day that the dwarf planet Ceres returned to begin her first deep dive into your heart's needs and priorities in four years, but they returned hand in hand. The Moon will make two visits to your romantic sector this year, the first from 1st January to 3rd January and again from 29th January to 31st January. It is during the second visit that the Moon will align with the Sun to create the first New Moon of 2024. Meanwhile, there is change on the relationship front, with the lunar nodes ending their 18 month policing of a balance between your own and your relationship needs on 12th January. With Chiron, the planet of healing having turned direct here late last month and Eris on 11th January, support from Mercury, the planet of communication until leaving your communication sector on 8th January will give words the power to lay old ghosts to rest.
