As you move into the new month, there is a need to let the dust settle and for time to adjust to the major shifts that happened in the final 48 hours of June to sink in. Within the space of just 48 hours, Mars and Jupiter were both on the move, Mercury turned retrograde and there was a Full Moon, packing into just two days more significant events than will be experienced in the whole of July. However, this was also a last minute push to get things into position before moving into not just the new month and the second half of the year, but a second half that because of those events, is going to look very different from the first.
The first of those events was on 29th June, when after six weeks fuelling your financial passions and fighting spirit, Mars left your financial sector and money matters in the hands of a skeleton crew that will quietly keep things on track. This saw Mars return to your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery for the first time in two years and not leaving until 11th July, he will spend the whole of July fuelling a passion for adventure. Mars returned eight days after the Sun left, giving him something to piggyback off. Meanwhile, the Sun had returned to your career sector and as always, will spend the first three weeks of July with the solar spotlight on your career and professional situation, matters and options.
This puts the Sun here, when on 30th June first Mercury turned retrograde and then a few hours later Jupiter left, ending his 12 month quest for professional growth and expansion. Mercury's retrograde turn will have the effect of putting on the brakes, while keeping him here for the rest of the month. With Jupiter gone and Mercury in retrograde motion, at the start of the month it might feel as though you have hit a brick wall, but it is an attempt to slow things down as you change gear. Your career sector will remain active for the rest of the year, but with Mars in an adventurous part of your chart all month and Jupiter gone, without the same demands. Meanwhile, Jupiter has returned to power things up on the social, friendship, team and networking front.

It is less that this is an important month on the romantic and relationship fronts and more that in an important year on both fronts, things have reached a point where they are solid and stable but are being influenced by external forces. Pluto, who returned to your romantic sector in November 2024 is now well and truly settled and not leaving until 2044, as the planet of change and transformation, he will work for decades to keep things fresh, alive and evolving. At the same time, having returned in January to spend the next 13 years in your relationship sector and Saturn in February to spend the next two years here, they are well and truly settled.
After seven years Chiron, the planet of healing left your relationship sector last month and while he will return for a few months in September, it is Neptune, Saturn and Eris, the warrior princess of the cosmos, who will keep your relationships on track but will also one by one turn retrograde. Neptune on 7th July, Eris on 23rd July and Saturn on 27th July. With both planets in your romantic sector already in retrograde motion, this is putting a lot of focus on the past. This comes just as Venus, the planet of love will be leaving a social and serendipitous part of your chart and returning to a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart on 10th July.
This will see Venus return to take your heart on a nostalgic trip down love's memory lane while the doors are open to the past on the romantic and relationship fronts. This will make the Moon's monthly visits to your romantic and relationship sectors a lot more interesting. Whether it is the Moon's return to your romantic sector from 2nd July to 4th July or when it returns from 29th July to 31st July, the Moon will form a friendly aspect to Mars in an adventurous part of your chart as it moves through, bringing together a mix of nostalgia, romance, passion and adventure. Meanwhile, the Moon's return to your relationship sector from 7th July to 9th July will see it form a friendly aspect to Venus and Jupiter in your friendship sector as it moves through, bringing a chance to check in, become more emotionally engaged and aware.
