While the Sun won't return to a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart to begin the month long wind down of your old solar year until 23rd October and until then will have the solar spotlight on your social life, friendships, teamwork and networking, a sense of nostalgia is going to hang over the whole month. By the time you move into the new month, it has been three weeks since Venus, the planet of love returned to a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart to take your heart on a nostalgic trip down memory lane that will normally end with her return to Sagittarius 24 days later. However, a retrograde turn on 3rd October won't just keep her here until 25th October, but when she leaves she won't be returning to Sagittarius or at least not yet.
Instead, this will see Venus retrograde back into your friendship sector, two days after the Sun left. This will see Venus put her nostalgic trip down memory lane on hold during the month long wind down of your old solar year, preferring to spend her time back in a social and serendipitous part of your chart, where she will be making the most of the doors this can open to the past, second chances and untapped potential. Meanwhile Mercury, who will also turn retrograde in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart on 24th October, will stay here until returning to Sagittarius in early December.
Also slowing down are Mars and the dwarf planet Ceres and while Ceres won't return retrograde until next month and Mars not until the New Year, this is slowing them down and giving them more time and that is good news on two fronts. This means that instead of leaving your financial sector, Ceres will stay on and her deep dive into your financial needs and priorities will continue all the way through to May 2027. This also means that instead of rushing through your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery in six weeks, Mars has until the end of next month to fuel a passion for adventure and a hunger for life's richer experiences.

On both the romantic and relationship fronts, there is a lot of focus on the past and that is set to deepen as the month progresses. While you move into the new month with all four planets in your romantic sector in retrograde motion and Uranus in retrograde motion in your relationship sector, that has been the case for some time and will be for not just the rest of this year, but at this time each year for years to come. These are all major outer planets that are here for years. Neptune, the planet of hopes and dreams is in your romantic sector until 2039 and Eris, the warrior princess of the cosmos until 2044, while Uranus, who only returned to your relationship sector in April, is here until 2033.
Even Saturn, who is in your romantic sector until April 2028, will spend the second half of each year in retrograde motion. However, what is taking the sense of nostalgia to a new level and then taking it even deeper is Venus, who as you move into the new month has been in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart for nearly three weeks. The planet of love returned last month to take your heart on what is normally a 24 day nostalgic trip down love's memory lane, which will end with her return to Sagittarius. Except Venus won't return to Sagittarius until January, with a retrograde turn on 3rd October not only keeping her here but amplifying a sense of romantic nostalgia.
By then, you will not only have every planet in your romantic and relationship sectors in retrograde motion but Venus, the planet of love in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart and in retrograde motion as well. The Moon will move through your relationship sector from 1st October to 3rd November, while Venus is in direct motion but still taking your heart on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. By the time the Moon returns to your romantic sector from 24th October to 26th October, Venus will not only be in retrograde motion but will retrograde back out of a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart on 25th October and back in to a social and serendipitous part while it is here. Venus will be here when the Moon returns to your relationship sector from 28th October to 30th October, putting them at a friendly aspect.
