While you begin the year with a lot of focus on both romantic and relationship matters, one is about to run its course and the other is going to become even more engrained. Running its course, for now anyway, is planetary activity on the relationship front, though until leaving on 6th January Mars is not going to go quietly or without a fight. Mars begins the month just moving into an opposition with Pluto in Aquarius, which will peak on 3rd January but could see the pressure remain until he leaves three days later. This might see the year begin with some personal and/or relationship tension, but it is just Mars fighting to get your attention. This is putting a balance between your own and your relationship needs to the test but knowing that once he leaves on 6th January your relationship sector will remain empty until he returns in April for a do over, Mars is working to leave you with a clear sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you. The pressure will drop once Mars leaves and throughout that time there is support from Mercury, the planet of communication and from the two planets in your communication sector. With Mars in retrograde motion and the dwarf planet Eris in retrograde motion in your communication sector until 11th January, as the warrior prince and princess of the cosmos, they will be working together to give your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. Having the Moon move through your communication sector from 6th January to 8th January will help with that. It is two days later that with Mars gone, the Moon's first visit to your romantic sector for the year from 10th January to 12th January will bring a chance to turn your attention to matters of the heart. Here, with Jupiter slowing ahead of a direct turn next month and with the doors open to the past and second chances, things are becoming more entrenched and happily so.
